Christmas Eve Schedule
Local Post Office Hours
- Christmas hours are posted at each Post Office location. Some locations may have extended hours leading up to the holiday, while others may have limited hours on Christmas Eve, Friday, December 24.
- Go to Find USPS Locations and enter your ZIP Code™ to check the Christmas hours for a specific location.
- Business customers, please check with your Bulk Mail Entry Unit for hours of operation.
USPS Blue Collection Boxes
- Mail will be picked up from blue collection boxes on Christmas Eve. Make sure you drop your mail in the collection box before 12 p.m. (noon) on December 24 (even if the final collection time posted on the box is later, as mail may be picked up earlier).
- Customers who need mail pickups later on December 24 should visit their local Post Office.
Regular Mail Delivery
Mail will be delivered as usual on Christmas Eve, Friday, December 24.
Christmas Day Schedule
Christmas Day, December 25, is a Postal holiday. Post Office locations are closed Christmas Day.
- Regular mail will not be delivered on Christmas Day, Saturday, December 25.
- Priority Mail Express® mail will be delivered Christmas Day1, 2.
- All Post Office locations will open and resume regular mail delivery on Monday, December 27.
New Year's Eve & New Year's Day Schedules
Local Post Office Hours
- Post Office locations nationwide will be open on New Year's Eve, Friday, December 31.
- New Year's Day, Saturday, January 1, is a Postal holiday. Post Office locations are closed New Year's Day.
- All Post Office locations will open and resume regular mail delivery on Monday, January 3, 2022.
USPS Blue Collection Boxes
- Mail will be picked up from collection boxes on New Year's Eve, Friday, December 31.
- No mail will be picked up from collection boxes on New Year's Day, Saturday, January 1.
- Normal collection will resume Monday, January 3, 2022.
Regular Mail Delivery
- Mail will be delivered as usual on New Year's Eve, Friday, December 31.
- New Year's Day, Saturday, January 1, is a Postal holiday.
- Regular mail will not be delivered on New Year's Day.
